Goddam commies!Last Yankees game I attended the family in front of me all turned around and looked at me like I was nuts when I started singing along with the anthem. Not sure if they were foreign, or if I am really that bad. Or that good. Really weirded me out.
And guys, remove your hats. Even if it's cold. Saw lots of people not doing this in the first two games around me.yikes, don't mess with the national anthem.
look at the flag and just sing the song or stand silently, preferably at attention.
if you're a citizen, hand over your heart.
How about we start by everyone actually taking their hats off and being respectful. And guys, remove your hats. Even if it's cold. Saw lots of people not doing this in the first two games around me.
Seriously though, endless threads about what songs to sing and lots of suggestions of ridiculously long ballads that no one knows. How bout we start trying long songs by singing one that everyone knows, or should. It could start a precedent by involving the WHOLE stadium. @Buckley talk to your peeps at TR, @johnny_f get the word out to HoO & Brown Bag. Build a strong foundation, boys! Let's do this.

That gave me goosebumps watching that...That's a national anthemBaltimore goes "O" because they're the Orioles, the O's. I was at two playoff games at Yankee Stadium versus the Orioles and when their fans did it, it was so annoying, because they're the opposing team.
There are three things to do: stay quiet, sing it loud and proud, and/or giant american flag tifo. We could also turn our scarves into rally towels and start waving them at a certain lyric in the anthem.
Probably the best national anthem crowd, first game in Boston after the marathon bombing in 2013. Jump to 3:20
Technically, you're also not supposed to start cheering until the anthem is over, but most people start when it gets to the the, "and the home of the brave," part.
