Sunderland deserve to be relegated for what they did to Jozy. I'm so glad MLS swooped in to rescue him from that dumpster fire. Getting rid of Defoe & watching them plunge down to the Championship would be perfect. Absolutely perfect.

Jozy looked like "shite" because Sunderland was "shite." It's not a coincidence he comes back to the USMNT and suddenly starts scoring goals again. Gus Poyet was an idiot whose mismanagement should have gotten Sunderland relegated last season.
Defoe started off well but once he wasn't picked for the England national team he sulked, picked up suspiciously nagging injuries and torpedoed Toronto's season while clearly positioning for a transfer. I think Defoe could have been good here, but you need the right mentality to succeed here. If you come here thinking you're going to score a bunch of easy goals you won't last. If you love playing the game and working hard, you'll do really well. Defoe was the former, so he's gone.

And yes, Jozy Altidore plays for the US Men's National Team. He started the US's opening game in the World Cup before getting an unlucky hamstring injury that took him out of the tournament.

Sunderland are shit but 2 goals in 68 premier league games goes further than just playing for a shit team. Defoe is a much better player.

Not remotely trolling ask any posters on this forum if jozy was any use at all in the EPL.he may be a superstar in mls but was a complete and utter failure in the UK .at 2 different clubs from memory .
