For weeks I have had to deal with trolling from NYC haters bashing our team...calling us plastic...using illogical arguments to put down our team. This was mostly from Red Bulls fans, and Eurosnobs...but from other fans too. People wanted to ignore that this is a first year expansion club...they wanted to ignore the true passion NYC fans have for this team.
And now that we have Villa, Pirlo, and Lampard as DPs with Iraola at the back...these punks are SCARED. The hate has come out in full force on social media today. All the same jokes since the finalization of the Pirlo signing, but in greater number today. They whine about money as if teams all over the world, across different sports, somehow dont use money to bring in talent.
We are a true for to be reckoned with now. We have successful European talent in all three stages of the formation...mixed in with young talent like Poku, proven MLS veterans like Grabavoy, and a feisty USMNT player in Diskerud. And lets not forget Saunders...whos more than shown himself to be one of the best keepers in the league. Yes, I mean that...because hes saved our ass so many times, and has kept us from severe beatings in some of our losses.
Oh yes...the haters absolutely detest the thought of NYC sporting success. And the excuses are in queue, waiting to be used once we start winning a lot.
