UEFA Champions League 16/17

Craziest thing about that is there's 156,000 people that still watch nascar
Umm, there's a hell of a lot more people than that watching nascar.... in the south it's second to only college football because who doesn't like to watch car crashes while drinking beer????

True, but that attendance is kinda Bullshit since the folks in the end zone can't see sh!t.... I mean, if anybody thinks we're far from the action at YS, those folk (even on the sidelines) are in another time zone.
I couldn't imagine watching the game there. As you said, I'm sure the view from the endzone and "corners" were completely terrible.

It also reminds me of how they host the final four games in football stadiums. I haven't personally experienced watching a game live like that, but I can't imagine the views being very good. IMO, it is a big detriment to the experience, but cash is king.

My only experience with soccer in an NFL stadium was the Copa America final at MetLife in NJ (capacity 80,000 I think), and it was actually pretty great. That's with me being in literally the last row way up around the rim of the stadium.

Well I think soccer in NFL stadiums generally work. The field size is the same so the sight lines are somewhat similar. Soccer in NFL stadiums don't work when you can't fill the whole stadium.

My comment was in regards to basketball being played at NFL stadiums.

Does anyone see any upsets here? The only matches I feel uncertain about are Man City v Monaco and mmmmmaybe PSG v Barcelona but I really think Barca will win that one.

I suppose it's not impossible Bayern might have a couple of bad matches...

Is Leicester beating Sevilla an upset?

Barca should see off an underperforming PSG but Barca are underperforming themselves. I don't see them making the final.
Barça has both Iniesta and Busquets on the field again, so I think we're about to see a big upturn in the team's form. Without Iniesta, opposition teams can just sit on Busquets and shut down a huge amount of playmaking, but when Iniesta is out there Barça has two playmakers and they can't both be effectively shut down at the same time (usually).

In other words, Barça should be a lot more dangerous for the rest of the CL.

I wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal manages to beat Bayern but still give the edge to Munich. I think all other fixtures should be the expected results.....too bad for my PSG:(

More unlikely than 5000-1?

Of course not but Sevilla have a lot of experience with knock out football. People might overlook the Europa but 3 wins in a row is some achievement and their having a very good year under Sampoli. They have more talent and are more in form so yes I think it would qualify as an upset if Leicester win. I hope it's a good two legs. Have a soft spot for Leicester like most non Forest or Derby fans but I spent a month in Sevilla (poorly) studying Spanish and made it to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan twice so I have to lean toward the Andalusians here.

This moment of time think that Real Madrid will go back to back, feel like Zidane a natural fit for them, I won't be surprised if it's a Madrid final rematch again

I tend to agree and will add a Darkhorse pick of City. If Kompany can get and stay healthy in time and I really think the addition of Gabriel will be immediate, they can peak at just the right time.
