Villa's great, but I think there are a few players ahead of him on the Spanish list.

Lampard you can make a case for, but again he probably falls just short. Thinking Scholes and maybe Beckham, maybe Gerrard, ahead. Maybe.

I think Villa and Lampard fall a little short overall but a case could definitely be made for them at their position. If you consider Rooney (as much as I hate to admit it) his contemporary he'd be ahead of Lampard. Stevie G you'd have an argument. The Spaniards better than Villa would mostly be midfielders as the all team leading scorer for their national team he is probably the striker of his generation.

Villa - no way, Xavi and Iniesta are easily rated higher.

Pirlo - It's between him and Totti for sure.

Lampard - I think Scholes, Gerrard were slightly better players than Lampard, I'd include Terry in that list too but it's hard to compare attacking midfielders to defenders.

I would say Frank was on better teams. I'd say SG, at both their peaks, was a better player.

I think Lampard may have more left physically now (and thus be better at this exact moment), despite being older.

He definitely did. Rodgers played him at the expense of results.

He's not really very good. I am wondering what happened with Packwood, though.

I called for Lletget way back before we had any players. Not sure when exactly, but I think it was long ago.

Cody Cropper is most likely moving to Bristol City of the Championship or a few MLS teams are interested. This was posted yesterday actually by Greg Seltzer.

thing is, we are getting 37 year old version of Lampard where say the LA Galaxy got 31 year old version of Becks. Lampard will probably be less impactful than Becks circa 2007 at LA. Now if we were getting 31 year old version of Lamps I would probably agree that he was better than 31 year old Becks. Maybe.
