2017 Summer Signings

No way Herrera moves out now, wouldn't CFG have to sell him to move to OL?
Yes they would have to sell. I don't think it's likely but if Lyon throws stupid money at them they might do it. Clearly the landscape of what's an acceptable fee has been turned around this window.

counting down to an announcement, any news....

Meh, I doubt MCFC moves him just 6 months after signing him, especially when they own the team he is loaned to and their transfer window closes today and they have essentially zero backup midfielders.

If I'm Vieira and I've been quietly demanding more help from the front office, and then they sell instead of buy during the window, I would quit. Just about anywhere else in the world, Vieira would be the one making these moves. He's not going to feel very supported nor able to build his own resume in that kind of environment.

Look across the river, at least you didn't sell your team captain and basically have nothing but a pile of $$ to show for it. At least enjoy the RBNJ angst.

F that. To not make a single signing for an injury-riddled roster that is fighting for their lives for the franchise's first trophy and hanging on by a string, while rostering the league MVP in the twilight of his career, is not something that should blow over.

I get it, MLS has a salary cap. Big fucking deal. A, always, B, be, C, closing. Get creative. Sell off next years' draft pick. Beg MCFC for a loanee. Pull off a three-team trade. Write a letter to Garber seeking exemptive relief.

If you're good at making transactions on average, the more you make, the more value you'll get in the aggregate. Shrugging and saying we couldn't find a match out there means you didn't make enough calls and you didn't try hard enough.

Hopefully I'm reacting preemptively. I'm not asking for a stud. A 4th CM. A backup RB. A backup LB. Anything to show you care at least a little bit.

If we had issues at my job, and my boss asked what we were doing to rectify them, and I said "I figure we'll just ride this out until next year and see what we can do then," I would probably be fired.

lol jesus you all are freaking out ....and we are in top three of league....i can only imagine what it would be like if we were mid to lower table team in MLS.

if you want back up RB LB "anything" well i think Jeb Brovsky is available you guys want him back?

like i said before...we do need help in back but not gonna buy just to buy.

Very odd for Yangel to retweet that. If we don't improve the club before deadline day (including free agents here) I don't see us getting far.

It's not about where we are in the table, it's about effort to improve. I agree there's a fine line between buying just to buy and trying to improve at all costs, but we also don't get that cap space back if we don't use it.

And I don't totally buy your Brovsky line. This is a global market. I guarantee you there are decent players that would like to play for us today.

What's Dilly Duka doing? Can't we bring Conor O'Brien in for a trial this week? I want to hear about something we are doing to try and improve.
