Just a placeholder for now, but let's have a thread for discussion of city league soccer, pub leagues, great pickup games, and other grassroots soccer around the five boroughs.

Pancyprians in CSL D1Anyone else involved with CSL? I play with WIFC in D2.
Good timing on my part I suppose. (At least that's the excuse I have for not finishing this interview last week)

it's like how the professional leagues are anywhere else:so you guys play league september-march? or it ends in december? also i see all these cup tournaments...whats that about?
it's like how the professional leagues are anywhere else:
September to May schedule.
Then there's a state cup, for reserves, first team and over 30. (Manning Cup, D'Arpino cup, and Marth Cup(I think))
League Cups (i think there's 2 separate cups, one for first teams in D1 and a lower one for reserves and first teams in D2 or something like that)
Lamar Hunt US Open Cup which before the MLS the CSL teams have a history of winning before the MLS was established
Amateur cup which Landsdowne won this summer and the Greeks won it a few years back.
To qualify for the Amateur Cup I believe you have to win your respective Amateur league. Landsdowne Bhoys won the league 2 seasons ago, then over the summer won the Amateur Cup. The Fricker Cup is a separate tournament which I'm not 100% sure on, but from what I read quickly it is only the champions from Region I and II. Basically the Northeast if I'm certain.alright excellent info....im still trying to figure out how teams qualify to amateur cup ( Fricker cup?) or qualify etc. Learning at least how things go in nyc in the amateur ranks

NY Coed Soccer / NY Mens Soccer (https://nycoedsoccer.com/ and http://www.nymenssoccer.com/) tend to be solid organizationally, but their leagues fill up quickly. NYC Footy (http://nycfooty.com/) have way more of a vibe and there are a lot of tech company teams that play there.Anyone know a good indoor league in Brooklyn. My company may start a team, and would want to join one. Thanks!
Is anyone aware of a reasonably up to date list of local pro and semi-pro teams?
