2019 Schedule Thread

I'm perplexed that so many people think that NYCFC decided to give the Yankees 5 games no matter how long it takes as opposed to giving them until October 17 no matter how many games that allows. Because pegging it to the date makes infinitely more sense.

Now that Amazon is part of the YES family.
Hopefully Amazon does an "All or Nothing" just on NYCFC deciding all of the these things. Which stadiums, when to have the public sale. And hopefully ultimately where to play the MLS Cup.

We need something better than Win!

Then Astros win Game 4 and 5 and Yankee Stadium is available and I'm pissed as hell.
Given the situation, I can't fault the club whichever way they go. Just on the forums we have one contingent who wanted Citi announced last week, and others like you who want Yankee stadium under any potential circumstance. I can fault them for being in this position (ie no stadium, and who knows how much is their fault on that as well), but no matter what they do with the playoffs a substantial number of fans will be unhappy.

ETA: but I also think the Yankees win at last 1 of the next 2 games anyway.

Announcing Citi and selling tickets tomorrow makes every logical sense.
Assume, as I do, that the club wants to start selling no later than Oct 18, which has always meant a decision by October 17 (potentially overnight). The original schedule allowed for 2 possibilities: the Astros win by the 17th, and we play at YS, or the Astros don't win by the 17th, and we play at Citi. We could have found out earlier had the Yankees won 2 early games but they did not.

Now there is only 1 result possible: the Astros will not win the series by the 17th. It just cannot happen any more. That means Citi Field. There is no need to delay. They might not announce today but I bet the STH presale starts tomorrow no matter what.
