MLS Cup Playoffs - December 5 - Philadelphia (Away)

I called the number hoping it was an easter egg to get tickets.

It was not.

Also, this movie was about a race riot. This seems...inappropriate?
Yeah. Gotta say I was feeling a little weird about this image… re-watched the film recently for the first time since it was in theaters many many moons ago. If you ignore the subject matter of the film it’s cute but… I don’t know…

Okay so I will probably stop off at the liberty bell and then go straight to the game. I'm shooting for arriving between 12:30 and 1. gonna park in lot J.
I'll be wearing a Shwafta jersey. Looking forward to meeting some/any of you!!!

Reading Terminal is worth a visit on its own.

I would say this - assuming they are open on Sundays - head down to Philly in the AM. Walk around Independence Hall area. Go to Reading Terminal Market. Lots of great options there. And it’s just a great experience. Get a 12 box of donuts from the Mennonite’s for the ride home.
Don’t go looking for Dinics on a Sunday at TM. Or the Amish vendors. TM is greatly diminished on Sunday. Not really worth it. Head for the Italian Market in South Philly on 9th st if you are going to kill some time and score some eats. Otherwise the reccos above are all solid.

Did anyone get a response regarding admission to the watch party?

I'm very excited, so much so I can't sleep. At the same time, I'm worried our players have been watching the news and are going to somehow switch off for the game because they're missing so many starters. I hope not. I hope they keep going as if nothing changed. If we lose to effectively Philly B team, we will be laughed at forever.

IDGAF what the excuses are about our run from other teams fans. They'll always find anything to bitch and moan about.
Our guys have a job to do and should still take this game very seriously. I don't know the next time things will align this way to give us a path to a chance at the cup.
Vamos NYCFC!

Stadium entrance

We enter the stadium as a group so please meet up at the Boat Slip by 2:15 pm for a 2:30 pm entry by the River Gate. A wristband will be required to enter and sit in the supporters section.

We will be in section 133 where, as with all away matches, seating is general admission, first-come, first-served.

I’m not worried this team is taking things lightly.
One because it just feels different and two from watching the behind the scenes videos. I like hearing Sean say, “This is our time” and many players saying, “stay together”. This team seems special and has been playing like it since that Gudi strike in Atlanta.

LETS GO NYCFC!

If the match runs long, do we think ABC affiliates will allow it to run over into the next programming block, or will it get punted over to ESPN2 or something?
There was a FOX affiliate that didn’t even air the Portland-Colorado match on Thanksgiving. So who the hell knows?

Regardless of who wins today, it will be interesting to see if the Timbers put their money where their mouth is:

Away support would get about 1,250 at Providence Park under the 5% standard.
