Nycfc V Redbulls Postmatch

Who in Yankee Stadium decided it will be a good idea to seat all Red Cows supporters in the upper level? All those douchebags tossed beer to the lower levels like freaking piss after the game. I understand Jersey is shitty but that's bad sportsmanship.
Luckily I sit in 206 so I didn't get any :)
As soon as I saw the NJ fans up there is spelled nothing but disaster. I seriously hope YS looks into moving them somewhere else because it was pathetic what they were doing. Also did anyone notice how it was all red and after the first NJ goal it became a cluster of black shirts?

3. Having a crowd of RB supporters in the upper deck behind me was incredibly unsettling and I hope YS doesn't decide to move the away supporters section there, however I did not have anything thrown on me nor did I personally receive any abuse from them.

During all other games, the away supporters are right above me and when they come out in droves (like Portland and New England) it can be unsettling, there is one section that will have to experience them. Unless Yankee stadium just opens up one section of the 400s for them.

Where do you sit? I'm in the first row of 123 so may be nearby.

Sorry. I'm just pissed. No excuse for that performance. But you're right. That's why I backed off of it. I was mostly looking for someone to take the other stance so I could make my point about Kreis.

Total troll bait.

Doesn't invalidate my point. But no need to direct to Mag. He's just been the most consistent and evangelical Kreistian on the board.
Midas, I got nothing for you today. I'm too gutted. The team just didn't happen today and RB was better.

I've never said our players are the best or that Kreis was the best coach. But they are the ones we have. Even players that aren't usually targeted for suckage sucked today. There's only 1 Poku.

Let's hope the reinforcements including Frank & Pirlo can get us back on course. We did just have a winning streak. We have to believe we'll turn it around.

I just want us to be better than Orlando and make the playoffs in this season. We'll start beating the Red Bulls consistently soon, hopefully before we get an Etihad Stadium in the five boroughs.

EDIT: Also, I want the Cosmos to beat the Red Bulls on Wednesday. Fuck Red.

For all our excitement about the definite imminent arrivals, and the likely imminent arrival, and a 3-game winning streak: we are still right now pretty much the same squad that couldn't win for 10 straight games. The good news is that's going to change, but tonight was a slap in the face reminding us of reality right now.

[QUOTE="Wingert. Or Brovsky. Goddamn horrible.[/QUOTE]

agreed wingert spent more time on the ground tan in the game, and can JK get the award for most idiotic sub on the year.

Very frustrating I was in 135 today on a resale ticket so just three rows behind the goal where everything was scored. We were all over them for the first 20 mins or so. I knew it spelled trouble when we couldn't get that second goal while we were on top and in the second half we were just terrible.

The hope I have is in that I think our reinforcements who on paper are very good are largely coming in the right positions. We should be replacing some clearly not MLS caliber players with high quality Euro veterans and promising youngsters. This is one reason I won't be bitching about CFG right now they seem have realized our problems and made an attempt to address them. IT's not their fault that that they can't get here sooner by MLS and international transfer rules (Excluding the frank situation which doesn't have to be rehashed yet again)

How many did Jersey bring over all? I don't where or when each of you arrived but getting in around 3 on Metro north from Connecticut I had to pass though a cordon of several hundred of them. Our fans trickling by in tens and twenties there was no physical confrontations that I saw but they were rather aggressive while they had the numbers so far in their favor like that.

Between that and the one Redbull fan who got on the train from Harlem with me and around twenty NYC fans and tried to lecture us with the tired "I don't just change my allegiance because there's a team easier to get to" and "We don't have any hardcore fans because we haven't been around long enough" and "your all wearing Man City jerseys" etc. I hate them more than I did yesterday by far. Approaching a level of hate I normally reserve for Man U and Celtic.

I couldn't agree more. We were all on a hype of 3 game winning streak and the first 30mins seemed like it was going to be 4 but the players had a complete mental meltdown and the worst of times and we payed dearly but the one thing that annoyed me along with the other multitude of shitty decisions was the crowd, we weren't behind the team fully. I mean seriously a stadium of 48,047 and mostly NYCFC fans yet all I heard was the stupid NJ fans and I was in 128 and they out sung and out shit talked the supporters group and everyone in general. It's games like these that the players need to look at us wave their hands to their ears and we need to make some noise like Seattle fans do. Can't be the greatest team in the MLS without the greatest fans.... Just saying.

Like witnessing it live wasn't enough torture, I'm watching it in DVR now. Too many starters that are really back ups. We'd have a strong bench with them, but some had no business in this game. The physicality was too much for them. We don't need stars at every position, just starting quality players. Thank god Angelino and Iraola are coming. Our fullbacks suck. They are way over their head. Lamps and Pirlo solve our mid woes. So it HAS to get better.

First of all I question our support for the team. How is it possible that a handfull of a few hundred of RB fans outshouts us? We were at least 25 thousand plus . We were totally drowned and silenced out in loudness. Visibility wise our blue color was so tepid and grey like the day, while RB fans stood out in their bright vibrant red.
how the f...ng F we allowed it to happen?

and to top off the "strategic decisions " were gored to shreds by those determined RB
I am just so mad. We proved ourselves to be paper bullfighters...

Give the red bulls credit. They showed up and brought it. Though we helped that a lot.

Wonder what the ratings were for ESPN.

sorry but i have no idea where to put this, but do you think they will open up the 300s for the Toronto or Orlando city matches considering that lampard and pirlo could be playing in those

What in god's name are you talking about? I was sitting right below them and they didn't have 1 chant going until the 80th minute, and it was pathetic.
