We have to start hearing some offseason news about who is staying and who is going next week because there is a lot of offseason stuff happening beginning the week of Dec. 7th

Dec 8th: FA begins
Dec 9th: Wavier Draft
Dec 11th: Re-Entry Draft

Any PR international ever play in the PL?

As far as I'm aware (and I did look it up) he would be the first.

That said, I just can't see this happening. I know MCFC's confidence in Caballero isn't exactly rock-steady but I would imagine that they'd want a more experienced keeper to replace him. Saunders may be in his mid-30s, but he's still only barely played 100 league games in his whole career.

i thought the source of this was The Sun if so then its all BS. Still, at best Saunders will be a backup to Caballero no? maybe play in a cup game or something, i mean does it make sense to get him to sit on the bench? Cant they just promote another keeper from their youth ranks?

how long is hart out?

Hart's only out for 10 days, and MCFC already have a third GK - Richard Wright. They don't even need to promote from the kids.

Well I'm no fortune teller, but I just don't see it. It sounds like the press doing one of their usual things where they go "I can't believe CFG aren't mixing their players between the clubs as much as I thought they would. There has to be something going on that we don't know about. Perhaps if I start a story it will bring something to the surface." That, or it's one of those Chinese Whispers, where some twitterati saw a CFG coach chatting with Saunders in training a few weeks ago and as the story passed between sources it got blown into a full-on transfer negotiations report.

I thought Americans had a very hard time getting work permits in England unless they were top tier

This is a good point. The rule is that you need to play a certain percentage of games for your national team to qualify. In his case, that's Puerto Rico, so maybe he meets the test.

didnt he only play like 2 games ? i think i remember reading somewhere in twitter that he wasnt "allowed" to play for them any more

It's my understanding Saunders trains over there. Has nothing to do with a transfer.

I expect more of our guys to spend time over there working out

i guess this is news, i though the only trained here during the time allowed by MLS in the past two weeks, I think they get back to training this week no? for the PR game.

Well that's certainly one way to get some extra allocation money. We can get up to 650k in allocation money for a sale to a European team.

This is genius. Quick and easy way to add $650k to our salary cap each year.

Send Saunders to MCFC for a $1M transfer fee ($350k to the league, $650k to the team in the form of allocation money), which should be enough to sign a guy like Demichelis or another strong player who's above DP wages.
