Man City Discussion

Well they also look like the USMNT kits, where the other CFG team resides. Cynergy or Nike laziness?

Also, I think this means our home kits get swapped out next season. I hear dark blue sleeves may be in style then...

Every Nike jersey, especially all the Euros teams, looks like this now. There was talk on a different thread how they did identical styles, different colors in the past with previous teams.

But yeah, our home kit is changing next season and will certainly include sky blue.

Have you guys seen the new Man City away kits? I think I finally understand your hatred of Nike after seeing them.

I like it conceptually, but:

A: what do those colors have to do with ManCity?
B: are those watermarks forming the shape of two bra cups?
As to A, City's had black and red jerseys many times over the years. For example:

I'm afraid I can't help you with B, alas.

B. If it didn't have red sleeves, I would say it's Batman

B: All the new Nike (Authentic) kits have the boob holders. Not sure what they're for, maybe to support the out of shape Man City players-who-ate-too-much-pizza-before-Pep-was-there squad

Congrats to Man City for signing a wonderful goalkeeper. I've followed Claudio Bravo's career with Barca and I rooted for him as he captained the Chilean national team in the last two Copas (after Brazil crashed out ;)). I even had the thrill of seeing him play live at the 2016 Copa final. Man City is not only getting a world class keeper but also a man who is a leader and a gentleman.

I need a recommendation on what player to get on a jersey. I'm thinking De Bruyne.

I'm not one for getting names on shirts, although De Bruyne is a good shout. Go for Aguero if you want tried and tested. Go for Sane if you want the kudos factor of being ahead of the curve (with the added risk factor if he doesn't gel with the team, but I reckon he will). Go for Hart if you want to show solidarity with a club legend who is being dispensed with far too callously for my liking.

If Super Frank retires after this year, I would love CFG to send Joe Hart to NYC to learn how to play out of the back under Vieira. He could be the best keeper in the league and help us win a few trophies. Then in 3 or 4 years when Pep leaves Man City and Vieira becomes their manager, Joe Hart could go back and have his triumphant return.

I already have my Johansen goalkeeper shirt. I wan to get the field player kit for Man City.

Joe Hart is 29. Based on your comment he would return City when he's 33/34. I think that's a bit ridiculous for him to do and for NYCFC to spend money on. NYCFC can get a better team spreading that money around the field.

Who's we? NYCFC or Man City? And anyways 33 isn't that old for GK. They don't do enough of the running to wear out at 35 like the outfield players do. He wouldn't do it, anyways. He's only 29. He can still have quite a long run with a big team. I can dream, though.

City are playing some beautiful football against West Ham, up 2-0 at halftime.
