UEFA Champions League 16/17

Man City with a massive goalkeeping error. Bravo sent off for a red card for using his hands outside the box to clear a shot due to his error. I thought this was the better City playing today.

Man City down to 10 men, down 1-0 with a Barca free kick to ensue.

Wow. Crazy play in Man City vs Barcelona. Bravo playing out of the back came way out of the box to take care of an open-field ball coming his way with a Barca player bearing down on him. He muffed the clearance and it went right to the other player who tried to chip it over the keeper. Bravo reached up and knocked the ball away but he was a mile out of the box so it was a hand ball and was given a red card.

You have to think down 2-0 with 11 men is better than down 1-0 with 10 men. #StartEirik

My work friend is on his honeymoon in Spain right now, just sent me this on instagram...

Another defensive error by City that leads to another Barcelona goal.

Stones let a pass back to him roll by to the keeper but Suarez intercepts and makes the easy pass to Messi for his hatrick.

Shitty Defending. Shitty Goalkeeping. The CFG Way.

Uh oh! 74th minute and Barca player got sent off for a second yellow on a dangerous tackle. Both sides 10 men!

While I definitely agree with you I'm not sure he had enough time to think about it and realize the consequences. He might've just reached up to knock it away. I'll have to see another full-speed replay to see which way it was.

Honestly this is the best that City played Barca ever. They attacked and didn't bunker down. I think what he's trying to do will eventually get through this team. His biggest challenge is this season without the exact personnel that he wants. I can see a lot of players leaving next transfer window or definitely the end of the season.
Sterling was magnificent today. He challenged barcas defenders and was a bright spot for the team. Stones missed some big opportunities and had a few blunders himself.
Really was a NYCFC type performance from the back line today.

Has Saunders made a mistake as big as Bravo did today?

That directly resulted in a goal/loss.. Yes. Weekly.
Was the poor pass on Bravo? Yes. But if he doesn't follow it up with a 'save' then it's a goal.
They go down a man and let in 2 more then another at even strength.
Saunders mistakes are usually not so much mistakes more so just poor skill/judgement which result in opportunities for the other team.

True, but that attendance is kinda Bullshit since the folks in the end zone can't see sh!t.... I mean, if anybody thinks we're far from the action at YS, those folk (even on the sidelines) are in another time zone.

Lol yeah it's ridiculous. You could fit a football field on all four sides next to the actual field. Imagine the bathroom lines at half time?

That totally *is* crazy, and at first I thought the same thing about people being a mile away from the field. But on a closer look I realized that that's Bristol Motor Speedway, and that the track is half a mile around. Apparently it was a thing earlier this year. 150,000 people there.

Apparently that jumbotron in the middle is "the world's largest outdoor, permanent, center-hung digital display." Looks tiny compared the the size of the stadium.
