Atlanta is 0-2 all time in playoff/knockout games hosted at Mercedes-Benz Stadium (lost in PKs to Columbus in last year's playoffs and lost 1-0 to Chicago in this year's USOC).

NYCFC is 1-0 all time in playoff games where the first game is played at home.

Imagine if Geiger made a penalty call in the 90th minute to put NYC through? I think the Benz would collapse.

(Yes, I know this scenario is absolutely impossible as Atlanta doesn’t get penalties called against them)

I put this exact scenario in the you pick thread for this game.

As for your last point: On the contrary this is perfect game to call it against them to even out their early season calls.

Sup everyone. I got three tickets and a hotel for the weekend in Atlanta. Figure the drive from Tampa won’t be bad for such a huge game in one of the best stadiums in the world.

Any meet up place for NYCFC fans before the game near the stadium?

Dome did a good job talking up the referees before the game by focusing on Atlanta diving and the excessive fouls on Maxi.

Geiger might be the only MLS ref I don't worry about being intimidated by the crowd (not a big fan of his but I trust him to be at his usual Geiger level for both sides).

Nerd version: Geiger's the only ref whose standard error bar reaches neutral in three out of the last four seasons.

What happen to the reports that ITS broke his wrist? Not that it means anything but he's not on the injury report.
