NYCFC Training Facility Thread

Not yet.

Did you read the description of the event? I skipped reading it to hit the purchase button, but I saw it mentioned a boxlunch being provided. Didn’t know what else was listed.

Box lunch and some sort of skill drills or competition was mentioned.

If it ain't a chicken bucket I ain't goin'.
What if it’s a cheesesteak?

If you get a NYCFC lunchbox I’m going to be so jealous.
Could you even imagine if it was a metal lunch box with cartoon versions of Villa, Maxi, SJ, and Vieira on the front?!? That’d be the most amazing piece of swag ever!!!! Instant collectors item sought after by all Gen-Xer’s and older.

Although I have gone to these before, I was not able to register for this training session. If anyone on here who registered happens to no longer be able to go, I'd be happy to help and take your spot? I'd be in your debt for a few beers back at Yankee Stadium. :)

If there’s a lunchbox, will you keep it? Or give it to the original ticket holder?

Obviously, everything is going to be named Etihad. But is the club even considering or looking for other sponsors to match or surpass Etihad's sponsorship for these things.

When they invite fans to the opening ceremony but they do a ribbon cutting 2 days before the event

Media training with Vieira today. They all received personalized kits.

How awesome would it be to give everyone on Thursday personalized kits??
They’re buying goodwill from the media.

I blew 2000k citizen points, so I’ll be happy if my box lunch is cooked. To your point, since they haven’t asked for my sizing yet, it would suck to find a full kit only to realize it’s all XXL.

I know, I know... 2000 points for 6 hours with the team is a worthwhile purchase.

It’ll be nice if this is moderated differently and we do get an extended amount of time with the team, but my experience with the club events is that there’s very little 1-v-1 time with any players - usually always a Q/A format with a moderator picking people to ask questions and it’s a 1&done by the asker. I’m not expecting more than a tour guide pointing and reminding everybody “we’re walking, we’re walking,” and if it is a more intimate setting with real interaction (if not for everybody driving there, a keg would be nice) and players free to mingle, then I’ll be pleasantly surprised. The “real” reward is seeing the facility up close and the players/coaches are probably more of props.

I don't know what they'd fill the 6 hours with if its watching aa training session, a rushed tour, maybe Q&A during a lunch. Don't forget they're doing some skill competition which sounds different. I'm bringing sneakers to take part in that.
