CCL 2018

Now both Toronto and Red Bulls have the tactical flexibility now to go between 4 ATB and 3 ATB. This is something that I would like to see from us as well. Right now we a 433 that can turn into a 451 or 4231. We have brought out a 442 a couple times moving our 10 up as a false 9. A 3 ATB that could turn into a 343 that could turn into a 541 would be very nice to have as well.

I think we have the personnel that can make it work. Just a matter of getting the tactics down and figuring it out.

And that’s how we do it north of the wall.

Haha, would that be the Rio Grande or 54°40 or fight.

Seattle is freaking awful right now. And due to head injuries, they've had to sub out Bruin and Marshall in the first half.

This looks likely to turn ugly.

Typical Michael Bradley defending results in Americá tying the match. Just inexcusable.

He’s freaking horrible at defending. Total shambles. Doesn’t move his feet m, slow as hell. I’d take Ring over him any time.

At least Ring would make the tackle, get a yellow, and prevent the goal. Setting up a free kick that would be difficult for the opposition team.

Bradley plays... resigned.

EDIT: By that I mean he sometimes accepts his fate before it happens. Defending on his heels, not hustling, just generally lax.

It's the exact example of why the US isn't going to the world cup. He's a shit player. Regardless of Gotham Gator Gotham Gator still pretending he's the same guy he was in 2013. He isn't.

He's a big ol' puddin' cup. Soft AF. I hope he gets double taxed like the socialist pig he is.

But how about Altidore’s nutmeg goal? I really hate the guy for A. Accumulating so many worthless USMNT goals while always letting us down in big situations (can I also be allowed to be angry he got injured at the start of a WC?). B. Hurting US players reps abroad by just plain sucking so much over there. Probably setting us back a decade. (Thank god for Pulisic). C. Playing on Toronto (our real rival, unlike the Disney characters).

As good a result and Toronto could hope for. Do they park the bus next week in Azteca?

I’d love to see no Mexican teams in the final.

Yeah, that would be very nice for our league. Certainly no longer viewed as pushovers and mere participants, but contenders. Although you have to consider that from CONCACAF's perspective, they may prefer a Liga MX vs. MLS final as that matchup would bring more attention to the game.

Also, I think I would prefer this as well. As much as an all-MLS final would demonstrate the strength of the league, I would be vastly more interested in a Liga MX vs MLS final (especially if NJ is already eliminated).

And I realize the above is a bit easier to say as it provides me "an out" for rooting against NJ, but I think I would say the same thing if it was another MLS team in their place.

I don't think he is 2013, but I also don't think he is shit. Right now, I think he is one of those players who loped around the pitch in T&T with zero sense of urgency and so he is persona non grata along with the rest of those lazy pieces of shit.

ETA: I did see someone note that Bradley is on yellow card accumulation and would miss the return leg with a yellow in this game, and perhaps that affected his willingness to challenge. Just food for thought.
