Mix to Atlanta for Almiron, straight up.
Atlanta should take him. And I won't be surprised if they do, frankly.

He will fit in well there in a midfield with Guardado and Almiron. As a matter of fact, I bet they will boss most games to the extent that there almost certainly shitty defense won't matter too much.

The club is banking on a deal involving Atlanta

Dude WTF. Their roster will be better than ours two years later.

F: Jones
AM: Villalba, Almiron, Carleton
M: Guardado, Mix

That's amazing. And pre-expansion draft.
Expansion draft might make them worse, tbh. Feast your eyes on this bounty:

Round Orlando City NYCFC
1. Donovan Ricketts (Portland) Ned Grabavoy (Salt Lake)
2. Tony Cacio (Colorado) Patrick Mullins (New England)
3. Jalil Anibaba (Seattle) Jason Hernandez (San Jose)
4. Pedro Robeiro (Philadelphia) Daniel Lovitz (Toronto)
5. Lewis Neal (DC) Tony Taylor (New England)
6. Jair Arrieta (Columbus) Mehdi Ballouchy (Vancouver)
7. Heath Pearce (Montreal) George John (Dallas)
8. Danny Mwanga (Columbus) Thomas McNamara (DC)
9. Mark Sherrod (Houston) Sal Zizzo (Kansas City)
10. Eric Gehrig (Columbus) Chris Wingert (Salt Lake)

We came out of that one a lot better than Orlando, that's for sure.

True, but if this article is any indication, the talent level might be a bit higher this time around:

They had bloggers for each team send them a protected list. I'm sure it'll go down a bit differently, but if even half of these picks are right, they'll get 2 starters (actually good ones) each out of it.

I find it quite amusing at how low T-Mac was on this list and that he is now the only player still left on our roster

Yeah, look at how much mileage we've gotten out of arguing over NYCFC's protected list. Like, in what world will SKC not protect Zusi?

Let's see what their defense looks like. But they are making investments, that's for sure.

I can see a scenario where they don't. These guys run on a tight budget and they just gave Feilhaber a raise. Zusi was out of favor with the club towards the end of the season and he is on high wages (for them). They would be happy to offload his $700,000 salary and spread it amongst two players who are equally as good. They played him like a utility player last year - RB, CAM, CM, RM, RW. He's their version of James Milner.

George John....

It's fun to talk about what that draft yielded us two years out. We turned Mullins into GAM, an International Spot and Max Chanot. We turned Sal Zizzo into a loan for Ryan Meara. I forget what we turned Daniel Lovitz into, maybe GAM?

Ah yes, Meara was a monster pickup with his gaffe in Chicago.... man that draft was worse than a bag of rocks.... the quality of players available was just so bad two years ago and the guy giddy with his picks set us back from the get-go.....
