You should have heard the math on SITC when they were trying to determine how much $ this meant to each STH. Ridiculous.
Would be a grand gesture. Problem with us is that the older players we get are too old to sell on. Now if they'd pay out 1% of the cost of the eventual stadium, then my ears would really perk up. Or maybe, they should pay out 1% of the cost of operating Yankee Stadium each game (x17).
Someone did the math on the other site, they must have about 5k STH. If we did this, it would have been less than $2 most likely per seat.
Spend the money on a better player!
This is a funky little marketing gimmick, but hey, when you have a top team and can't sell out your 16k stadium, gotta try something.

Between this and the rings they gave the fans their marketing department is doing a good job.
It's a nice gesture. Helps keep the fans from bitching whenever they sell a player.

Midas Mulligan is correct. The whole segment on Soccer in the City when they were trying to figure out the math, was hilarious. These guys know soccer, but I am really glad they aren't in charge of building bridges or launching rockets.
