The most recent City Voice survey was all about rating the clubs merchandise offerings (and shopping experience at Yankee Stadium). At the end there's an opportunity to sign up for a "chat session" to go more in depth. If I'm remembering correctly it's the middle of this week but I haven't gotten the confirmation yet.

No, it's a woven scarf but it's thicker than typical. It's made by Diehard Scarves and feels more like a blanket.

They've never made a truly fitted hat, only a few stretch fitted . I was lucky enough to grab a black one with light blue NYC and a grey one with the NYCFC Patch on it, but that was the inaugural year. I have no clue, I always search the team store, Lids, MLS, Fanatics etc. and everything is snapback or adjustable.
