This I agree with. The pro-pigeon crowd will scream "plastic" at any attempt to unseat their chosen moniker.
I think I may just dress up like the monopoly man next match. Maybe that will catch on...
I mean, I know it's our state bird and all but has anyone actually ever seen one? In the city?

Bluebirds are New York State. Pigeons are quintessential New York City. Las Palomas represents both our city and our international connection. They are dirty and flying rats, but there is no better identity for us. Las Palomas por favor.

In truth, the Dynamo is a very Eastern European name for many clubs - so that should be listed under unoriginal.
Also, Rapids, while alluding to the Colorado river system, is also a play on a traditional Soccer club name, Rapid Vienna..... so also unoriginal (but is trying to be creative with the 'S').
DC is also is known as the racoons or los mapache.
I have to give credit to the pigeons. They were supporting soccer at Yankee Stadium even before NYCFC played their first match!Is this real or photo shopped??
Apparently, the pigeons are not Eurosnobs and are sticking around for NYCFC games. Season tickets in the coop, of course.
