Slosh has had at least 5 of these type of 'moments'. that fiasco dribbling at this feet earlier in the season, stumbling around in Columbus and I recall him giving up a super soft 1 bounce goal on the road.

I am by no means a Saunders apologist but I have been repeating on here for a while that, for the most part, MLS goalies simply are not very good. I have seen awful goaltending and howlers galore in almost every game around the league I have watched. Saunders is not very good but that's not extraordinary.

Rowe also let one go straight through his hands earlier in the year against Montreal at the very end of a match, if I recall. By all accounts he is having a pretty good year on the whole, but just brutal.

Rowe is a better keeper than Saunders, that being said both keepers make blunders.

That third goal though should have absolutely been saved. It took a deflection which put it right into the chest of a diving Rowe and the pace of the ball was slowed down.
 
Bendik's miss on the Drogba direct kick was awful as well, I don't care how hard he hit it. MLS goalies are terrible. It helps me not fret too much about Saunders when you grade on a curve.

There's just something special about watching a keeper lay the ball down gently at the feet of an opponent in the box and then go on and foul said opponent.

Maybe Donovan can play goalie. Perhaps that's the angle here.

Magee is going to play goalie, which opens up a spot in front for Donovan.
