Israeli Football Association ההתאחדות לכדורגל בישראל

Hapoel Beer Sheva playing against Dynamo Zagreb in the first leg of the UCL playoff in Zagreb in a few hours. Think it'll go in the way of Hapoel? I can't

I don't know enough about the current state of Croatian club football to make an educated prediction. Obviously their national team is a lot better than Israel but does that translate here?

I just don't know how they can ever top this TIFO.

Now I want to see a club do a full season of TIFO's all based on different Charlton Heston epics:
10 Commandments
Ben Hur
Planet of the Apes
Soylent Green
Omega Man
The Agony and the Ecstasy
Antony and Cleopatra
Earthquake
Greatest Story Ever Told
El Cid

You are aware that was a book before the film adaptation?

hmm, I'm not actually too sure, but I guess in my head like half of Europe is better than Israel's teams... And Zagreb has made some decent runs in the past, so I've assumed that's the case. I guess we'll find out in a few hours, won't we :)

*cough*
So do they drop to Europa League? Or this is elimination entirely from competition?

Only 3-0. Maybe Hashem has something up his sleeve.

Let’s be honest, Israeli football doesn’t belong in UEFA. But I understand why they stick with it.

Just come on back over to the US thread and enjoy Saief, even if he’s Druze.

It really doesn’t. But try to get Israel’s Arab neighbors like your boy Mo to play a match against them. I feel like Israel would qualify out of Asia most every time if they had the opportunity. And not because all the Middle Eastern nations would be forfeiting because they are afraid to lose to Jews.

Two EL qualification first leg games today:
1. Hapoel Haifa v FH Hafnarfjordur
2. Maccabi Tel Aviv v Radnicki Nis
Both home games.
Couldn't care less about Hapoel Haifa, but I hope Tel Aviv wins :)

ETA - Also for clarification, Hapoel Be'er Sheva will drop to third round qualifying for Europa League if they don't beat Zagreb

Which one -- 10 Commandments? I do think I've heard of that book.

Because I am occasionally dense I really didn't know what point you were making at the time yesterday. It came to me a couple of hours later and I'm just now circling back. So, yes, I realize the substantive reference for the TIFO was actual Moses, not movie Moses. But, the design imagery? That's a direct shout out to Charlton Heston in all his Cecil B. DeMille, VistaVision glory.

I was just teasing you ;) For a man who's very involved with his church, I hope you've read the book!
