Should we win on Sunday vs. Columbus, we would lock in the 2nd seed in the East and face the 3, 4, or 5 seed which can be Toronto, Philadelphia, Montreal, or DC. The date of the away game would be Sunday, October 30th and the likely kickoff time would be 3 or 5 PM.

Who is thinking about going?

Like you have to ask.

Also you wrote DC twice, think you meant Philly.

Part of me hopes its DC so I can go, but the other part doesn't really want to play DC since they are so in form right now

Absolutely.

Probably pulling for Philly given the combo of Sunday travel and matchup though I suppose our perception of who the good matchup is could change after this week/the knock out round.

If its Philly or DC I'm definitely going. I stupidly planned a vacation leaving on 11/1 and returning on the 14th, so I would actually miss the home leg.

Actually, it is highly unlikely to be Philly. We wouldn't be able to face them if they are the 6 seed.

In order for them to be the 5 seed, they would need to win at home against NJ and need Montreal to lose at New England.

I love traveling for soccer. Its is probably my biggest hobby and definitely my biggest waste of disposable income and free time. However, I might be well served not going given these numbers:
2016
Travel - Team is 1-6-2 for 5 pts in 9 matches
Don't Travel - Team is 6-1-1 for 19 pts in 8 matches

2015
Travel - 1-6-0 for 3 pts in 7 matches
Don't Travel - 3-4-3 for 12 pts in 10 matches

What are the odds of that?

Make the sacrifice for the team. Don't go.

Just curious, which game did you go to that the team won this year?

If I thought I had any bearing on the outcome, i certainly wouldn't. I went to the opener in Chicago. So, I'm riding an 8 game winless streak.
