2025 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs

Hard to watch this game and not be annoyed by NYCFCs lack of DP ambition.
I was thinking the same thing, although from a positive perspective. Between the schedule change and the new stadium, we're going to be in a great position to bring some European talent over.

I've always felt there was a synergy between MLS and the Bundesliga, and not just because they're my favorite leagues. We could see a lot of transatlantic business next year and into 2027 and beyond. We have good connections to Spain, too.

I still only see NYCFC signing players that they can sell on. Maybe they start to sign more expensive, higher ceiling, lower floor persons than before but still nobody in their last destination transfers like Son or Muller.

i think they sign one bigger name to open the stadium. they should be using the u-22 slots for sell on players. we have nico, we have martins. the third DP spot should be a proven player, hopefully a DP #9 or winger.

surprised they took off muller. sonny with a messi-like extra time free kick equalizer. what a take.

I would definitely have agreed with that before the schedule change. And every club sells on, of course. It's actually where the Mothership really makes their money.

So, yeah. We'll still do it. Buy low, sell high, make some bank. It's not a mystery.

But I can definitely see us being right there with anyone in the league when it comes to scoring a veteran signing like Son or Müller if the time and the numbers are right. And believe me, I'm as surprised as anyone to be saying it.

Müller grabbed the back of his thigh after clearing a ball at about 98' in stoppage time. I think he was cramping up.

Turf Monster claims another victim.
Halbouni leaves the game with a non-contact injury. Vancouver with no more subs left are down 2 men.

typical western conf game i feel like. but man, some crazy close calls. now it's down to who can handle the pressure and which keeper wants to be a hero.
Hitting the woodwork three times in a row like that is some crazeeeee shit. If you're Takaoka, you gotta be feeling like you're living a charmed life and you need your luck to hold just a little longer.

That was awesome. That's the third fantastic match I've watched today. Comebacks and underdogs everywhere.

God, I love this game.
