2025 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs

It never felt like Miami was going to lose this game, even though Vancouver was the better team and deserved to win.

The most annoying team in MLS history, but you can't deny their talent. It really was impressive to watch Miami become such a good defensive team in addition to their lethality going forward.

It's also nice to see these big stars come to MLS and truly care and compete as if they're still in Europe. As much as we all hate Miami, you can't deny they deserve this title.

spending big money doesn't guarantee MLS cup, but it sure as hell helps.

Sad that miami won because they're a bunch of whiners... but it's hard not to be happy for Beckham. He seems like a solid dude.

And if we're being honest, this is good for MLS. The most ambitious team winning means other teams will need to be ambitious to keep up or else they'll get left behind. This is how the league improves -- ambitious teams winning will rise the tide in this league.

Miami winning (reported*) spending definitely overshadows in size of the Toronto failure spending

*I can't believe that the contracts of the Inter Miami team are actually fair in their reporting to the league office and are compliant with the league budget rules.

You missed the fine print in MLS salary rules.

*If David Beckham has been a part of your club either as a player or an owner, you are officially exempt from MLS spending rules

Busquests and Alba retiring, Suarez likely gone. Miami enters next year with Messi, 2 open DP spots, and a pile of TAM. Who will be the next wave of stars that want to play one more time with Messi?

Anyone want to take bets on what will happen first?

1. NYCFC will buy down Martins and stop wasting a DP spot on a CB?
2. Miami will sign another household name recognition level superstar?

definitely #2.

Suarez has stated this would be his last game. but Messi will still have depaul and some young talents around him, plus whoever else they choose to sign. Watch neymar signs for max tam and then griezeman comes as a DP.

There's been a lot of chirping recently that Timo Werner is looking to move to Miami.
Take that with an ocean of salt, I reckon.

I know Werner's form has been poor for several years now, but he's only 29, and he's a guy who has scored 114 goals in the EPL and Bundesliga. If playing against slightly lesser competition in MLS helps him find anywhere near the form he had right before he transferred to Chelsea, he could score a ton of goals.

Can I note that like half the times Messi goes for a corner twellman says "watch for the olympico" as if Messi tries it every time? Lmao.

what do you expect from a one trick pony announcer? he says that for messi and when he does our games, it's all about the "small confines and weird sightlines of yankee stadium". he's gonna have trouble finding something new to say after we start playing our stadium .. "the cube is so bright, it distracts players from the goal. such a huge advantage"

Guaranteed the usual band of whiners will cry about the noise over the stadium caused by the traffic coming out of LaGuardia. Book it!
