2026 Season Ticket Thread (Next Year)

I checked my AccountManager early, and whelp, my price is going up 18% for 2026.

The front office hates its current fans.

27% for me (Legends B). I might be out. Definitely downgrading at best. I guess they look at it as ramping up to new stadium prices. They probably also figure people will be unwilling to drop out one year from the new stadium, and will rationalize paying 1 year hyper-inflated prices for a nomadic second tier experience. But this is appalling.

Twenty-seven percent.

that is just disgusting. how can they raise prices so much without offering more value? I dropped my season tickets in 2023 cause I just wasn't able to go to enough games to make it worthwhile but even then, I was feeling like the club wasn't giving enough value for what they're charging.

yes, this is NYC and things are expensive, but these price increases are ridiculous. they're going to alienate the true fans and end up with casual people paying for 1 year memberships who don't show up to games and the stadium sits empty. that's the worst thing they can do.

If you have a complaint email Brad Sims, Joe Redmon, and your rep today!
Did they announce this anywhere or you just stumbled upon it? When do the payments start? The hits just keep on coming.

There's been no announcement, and there were few details but the 2026 invoice total.

In fact in the last hour the 2026 invoice disappeared from my account.

Good job forum intern.

Most likely they loaded the 2026 pricing into the database and did not intend for it to go live until they send out the announcing email.
Best case scenario they asked IT to create the 2026 entries and fill the pricing with dummy placeholders and those accidentally went live.
I double checked because I was drafting an email to my rep which I will now hold back.

ETA: Final payment for 2025 is due Tuesday if you are on the payment plan. Renewals, seat changes, and opt outs should therefore happen some time in the next 4 weeks.

Thanks. Ignore the roster, refuse to improve the squad, sit on a load of unspent cash, and hike up prices for your longstanding STH in the final season before the new stadium. Makes sense.

Looking at old posts it seems the renewal email has been sent on April 14 or 15 the last few years. We should know more in the next day or so then.

Wonder if part of the thought process is that they have the opportunity to charge as much as they want because they know we can’t bail if we want new stadium tickets. If so, that’s gross.

Didn't get a chance to see my increase for next year. 2025 I paid about $900 a seat for section 014a & 121 in citi field. Most likely dropping the second seat for next season as my girl doesn't like making every game and I got my buddy to get his own ST. Team making it real easy to cut costs too with these increases.

2026 renewal email just dropped. My 2 tix were $1535 for 2025. For 2026 they are $1801. My math says that's a 17% increase.
My 27% increase is confirmed.
Looks like one offset is that the first playoff home game will be included in the membership, and they're throwing in the first 2025 playoff game as well as a freebie if you renew. Of course they need to finish 8th place or higher. They're currently 10th.

Interesting that the email includes all the reasons to maintain your priority for the stadium in 2027, together with instructions for opting out should that be your choice, but does not discuss downgrading as an option. Also, this:

Should the Club play additional regular season bridge matches beyond the 17 included in your plan prior to the opening of Etihad Park, you will automatically receive your tickets to those matches. Pricing for additional bridge games will be discounted and pro-rated at the average City Member rate of your invoiced plan above.

I think that means if the club plays a few games in Yankee/Citi to start 2027, those will be included as part of the 2026 membership, but at an extra automatic fee. That's really odd. I get that the YS/Citi seat levels won't translate to Etihad, and some people will make significant seat type switches. So there's logic at charging 2027 bridge games at 2026 rates, but it I would think those games should still be part of the 2027 membership. What if you don't want to renew for 2027? As special as that year should be, people will move away, lose jobs, die, or just decide the even bigger price increase is not worth it. But they'll have to pay for those "bridge" games?

I wonder what their model says about expected attrition with these price increases. I bet it's pretty low. For the 27% increase my math says they can lose 21% of STH seats in that class and still come out slightly ahead (though this ignores the included first home playoff game to simplify the mathing). I doubt they will lose anywhere near 1 in 5.

The tone and message of the email make clear what I thought - they know they can do whatever they want for the final season and they have no problem shamelessly squeezing us. The feel good is gone.

I understand it is a business and the bottom line is the priority. but it's a damn shame that their priority isn't making sure every seat is full every game and ensuring there is a fantastic atmosphere. Sure, their numbers might say they "sold out" but i want to see people in seats.

They definitely value the stadium greatly and think it's perfectly fine to squeeze season ticket holders, no matter how long they've been loyal.

growing the fanbase by making games more accessible and letting them experience an incredible atmosphere would do so much more for the bottom line in the long term than what they are doing right now. imagine a massive waitlist of people trying to get season tickets because they are reasonably priced and knowing that concessions are also reasonably priced, so they can take their family of 4 to have a fun night out and not break the bank.

The fanbase would increase. Merch sales would probably increase. Fan engagement would increase. It's win win for everyone. But instead, they choose the path of immediate greed and while none of us really knows the numbers behind everything, it really does come off as a huge slap in the face to loyal fans.

I'm glad I didn't get sucked back in when the stadium was announced. I'd be extra pissed about it right now.

Disney Resorts and Cruises have a fair amount in common with sports STH memberships. A guy on a big Disney forum repeatedly writes that "Disney is in the business of selling happiness. That's not the same as 'Disney wants me, personally, to be happy.'" It often is in response to someone claiming that this year's price increase was the backbreaker.
Not that I ever thought otherwise, but this week is pretty clarifying that NYCFC does not care if any particular STH is happy.

My tickets increased 25 percent. FFS.
That's more than the 18% LionNYC said. I know there are different Pitchside levels but I thought you were the same?
