“First of all, I don’t think Ring will be out for four weeks,” Vieira said. “He will be back earlier than that. It’s not as bad as we first thought.”

Good to see. Hope he is right. I posted this elsewhere too - hard to know where it should go. Given his importance to the team, the injury probably deserved its own thread.

He posted it in the NYCFC in the Media thread. It could also go in the 2018 roster discussion, or the next game discussion. I think the expectation is you try to fit things in an existing thread before you start a new one for every little bit of news. After that nobody is likely to complain about which thread you put it in as long as there is some relevance and logic to it. It's also nice to look at recent posts and see if something has just been posted, but sometimes people are drafting at the same time and it happens.Yeah I still haven't totally figured out this forum's structure. Where'd you post it?
Wow. Can you post the article with the coach's comments? Not that I don't believe you, I think it would be interesting to see the direct quote. The Finland team for the UEFA Nations League matches vs. Hungary and Estonia was announced today, and Ring is not in the team. The head coach confirmed that this was because he's carrying a sports hernia, which prevents him from giving 100% contribution, and so they decided he's not called for the games. It seriously begs the question, why is he playing 90 minutes week in week out with the injury. It would be disastrous to lose him before the play-offs. Rather rest him now than make things worse.
