I never read the book so I can't comment. I did hear that there were some things that were completely different than the book though.

As for other pilots, I only watched a few this year, didn't care for the other two, just MitHC.

From the first season I enjoyed After, and was a little bummed to see Amazon give it a full season order, only to yank it months later. Bosch was pretty good, the full season starts this Friday.

Episode #2 was killer. Won't spoil it, I think you can only watch it this weekend til midnight then you have to wait til November.
