Anyone see Vancouver lost to Ottowa???

Also Toronto blew out Montreal, a couple of very late goals made the score line respectable. But it was never close.

I guess it's Toronto v Ottowa for a CCL bid. I actually like this. With its combo of a very cold and loud home field and their star power, I think Toronto can do some damage in that tourney. But let's see them get past Ottowa first!

still a second leg for these semi finals

Oh. How very Canadian of them.

i think they want to make it last longer for sponsors and such since it would only be four games in total. I dont know if there are other canadian pro/ semi pro/ amateur teams that would want to compete in this to make it a single game knockout competition

There are only 5 teams in it: NASL- Edmonton & Ottowa, MLS- Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver. To get corporate sponsorship, Amway, I'd bet they had to make it a minimum number of games to have it worthwhile to the company. A prelim round of two game, two semi-finals of two games each, and then a final of two games..... 8 games total all home/away.

yep thats what i was getting at....but i just dont know if the canadian federation would be interested in inviting any semi pro or amateur teams to the cup to make it similar to US open cup. they probably dont so they went this way instead...which i think is fine considering the limited amount of teams.
