Carl'S Cheesesteaks is gone!

Yeah, this kind of blows. All kidding aside I'm actually a little bummed there's no more Carl's Steaks. Not going to give up my tickets or anything but it was definitely something I looked forward to on home weekends. I was bummed when they closed their "real" stores but it was OK because they were still at the stadium, but now that's gone too.

There's Shorty's, which I've never actually been to, and there's 99 Miles to Philly in the Village, which I don't really like. Any other cheesesteak places I ought to know about in the area?

Might end up having to go to a Union match now and then when we play down there.
There's a Shorty's near me on the UES and I've never had a cheesesteak there, but their pork sandwich with provolone and broccoli rabe is damn good.

My buddy from Philly used to swear that Luke's on the upper east side had the most authentic cheese steaks in the city.

Mighty Quinn's is some serious BBQ. Pulled pork sandwich was awesome. They also had a brisket sandwich, a burnt tips sandwich, a bronto rib, and a bunch of southern cooking sides.

This sounds good. Where is the Mighty Quinns in the stadium?

Lower concourse, left field before getting to the outfield(supporters section). Not sure what section it's in front of, but it's the last vendor before the tunnel walk around to the outfield.

Where are, or were, the noodle bowls?

If they're still there, they're next to the "food court." Down the left-field line, still in foul territory. They were cheap (relatively speaking) -- around $10 if memory serves and big enough to be a full meal. Cheaper than most other alternatives.

Thanks. That's pretty far from me, unfortunately. How are the lines?

Shorty's is decent. I like it better than 99 miles. Plus they deliver to my apartment.

The line was short, but the service was slow. Seemed to be problems with the registers and the cashier had to manually give me my discount because the seat card wasn't working. Probably also the first time that food team had really served the new menu so they looked a little confused along the prep line.
