Cool . Thanks for sharing. Loftus Road isn't bad. I saw Burnley beat QPR 2-1 about 8 years ago. I'm thinking of going to Fulham- Norwich in a few weeks. Don't care about either team but Craven Cottage is about 20 minutes (on the tube) from my Hotel and I don't have any other plans that Tuesday night.

A friend once told me that seeing a game at Craven Cottage is really special because of the classic nature of the stands & how intimate the entire park feels. Even with the smaller crowd it's supposed to be a great atmosphere.

Definitely worth going, very similar to QPR Loftus Road, more of a old school stadium

Also the way that, if the ball is punted out over the aptly-named Riverside Stand (or out of one of the corners between the stands, which aren't connected to each other) then the ball ends up floating down the River Thames. They used to employ a guy to sit on a boat all game and retrieve the balls which landed in the water...
 
So pretty cracking match in the end. Fulham fought back from a 2-0 half time deficient ( both Norwhich PK's) Craven Cottage was as lovely as advertised and the atmosphere exceeded my expectations. Not sure if it's because they have the neutral section or because Hugh grant is a supporter :D but I always thought it would be a tame crowd but when Fulham were fighting back I thought it was satisfyingly loud.

Walk from putney Bridge Tube ( the closest) is a little interesting. Takes you through a tunnel, a park , past a church yard with a small cemetery and this all in the near pitch dark at times for a night game luckily you just needed to follow the mass of people to not get lost both coming and going. Still in England for a week see about posting pictures when I get home.
 
From what I saw of the Reading v Fulham semifinal, I think it would have been better for Fulham to (potentially) go up. They seem like they would have been a more fun side to watch in the Prem and probably have a better chance of staying up than Reading will if they beat Huddersfield. Caveat: I've watched almost no Championship football this season, so I may have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about.
 
Nice illustration of why I hope the US never adopts pro/rel. Wage costs alone in the Championship were above revenue for 15/16. As the payouts for Premier League increase these clubs and owners have greater and greater incentives to behave irresponsibly in hopes of a big payday.

I feel like that only tells half the story. You have to remember that those figures are going to be horribly skewed by those clubs who have dropped through the relegation trapdoor and are now stuck with a PL-level set of salaries on Championship money, for a start. Bear in mind that the Championship has its own FFP rules which have the ability to bar clubs from promotion if they feel so inclined - while clubs definitely do spend in the hopes of promotion, they don't have free licence to do so anymore.
