Basically what the USA needs to do to become a soccer powerhouse, but unfortunately will need the private sector to do it, which would only happen if money could be made from it.

I always wonder how powerful the USMNT would of turned out, if all the resources poured into the other popular sports in America, was channelled into soccer instead.

Well, while they're at it, they better allocate twice the amount of money towards a cure for lung cancer and air pollution. As it is now, they could have 200million Messi-quality players, but if they all have the lung capacity of an 80yo smoker, their soccer skills won't get them very far.

yes money is what drives everything....but still changes or at least bettter youth coaching guidlines is what is needed here to even think about any long term sustainable change....cant just have random parents coach kids anymore.
