On average is better to use DGW players. If you have 8 players who average 4 points a game, but they play twice in the same week you will average 64 points. Replace those 8 players with guys who average 6 points a game, but only play once and you will average 48 points.I've forgotten whether, on average, it's good or bad to take a chance on players with DGW. I'll probably make the same mistake as last year
I don't know how I feel about these friendly reminders. I mean half of my fantasy skills involve being diligent. The other half is luck. if you remind people to set their lineups I am screwed.Don't forget the round starts tonight.
There is going to be a lot of ties and HtoH decided by 1 or 2 points because most players are going to have the same 6 starters

But if those 4 point/game players only play once or you pass up a chance to put someone who will get 12 points into your lineup in favor of a weaker player who has 2 games, you are worse off -- on average its better, but the top scorers for the week will probably include many players who play just one game.
I didn't like many of the players on both teams that have DGW this week, so I went light on them. I added Godoy and as much as it pained me to do so, I added Wondo as well. I also have Cropper, but I'm keeping him on my bench.I'm almost always disappointed that I fall for the DGW trap. That said, I'm doing it again. Such is the life of a fantasy shmoe.
Doubt many folks caught this in time to make a change (time stamp is 20 minutes before the New England/San Jose game kicked off):

Unlimited transfers can't help me now
Ouch. I'm probably counting on Nathan Smith to put some points up for me now...

The fact that you're starting Kappelhof makes me feel better that my auto sub is gonna be Michael Harrington
I agree it's annoying but there is a reason for it."You will be able to see captain choices and final 11 for this team once the last match of the round has started."
I am not sure if this has been mentioned before, but it probably has. How annoying is this?! Like why can't i see his lineup once the first game is played? Why do i have to do math to figure out who my opponent started and capped?
ah i forgot that you can change the cap, stupid if you ask me. If you lock the roster you should lock the captain. I mean its not hard to figure out who you captained after a few games. 1st of all logic dictates you are capping a favorable matchup, 2nd I can still do the maths and see when your cap played or didn't play to a degree of certainty and whittle my guess down further.I agree it's annoying but there is a reason for it.
Let's say you and I are matched H2H this week. Sunday morning I look and see I'm 6 points ahead with 3 games left. You and I each have Villa, Lodeiro, and a defender left to play. The defenders are different. The other difference is you captained Villa and I captained Lodeiro. So I switch and captain Villa, not because I change my mind and think he's a better choice but just because it takes away one way you can catch me. Now you can only catch me if your defender outscores mine by 6+ points. If we have different captains, even though we both have the same 2 players, it's harder for you to catch me.
But you go online and see what I did and you do the same, by switching to Lodeiro. Then we end up in a game of who can make the last switch before it locks when the NYC game lineups are released. That's just a stupid way to decide who wins and means a lot of time wasted by you and me.
