I hadn't seen this Portland tidbit until now: For the first time, Porter and general manager Gavin Wilkinson will have some help with recruiting by bringing in Ned Grabavoy, who retired after last season, as their head of scouting.

Jason Kreis: B "For now, it looks like Kreis has been a good coach in a tough situation." Good to see the MLS establishment still making excuses for JK. Porter is one year from winning the MLS cup and gets a B- as a result of a bad year. JK gets a B because he won an MLS cup in 2009. How many crap years does this guy have to have before he's accountable and not just in a "tough situation"?

The C+ for Onalfo at LAG also seems unduly harsh, especially since they say he steps into a role he long been primed for and that hiring him is a forward-thinking move. Weird.
