I hope he stays one more year, but I take no ill-will towards his desire to return to Europe. Every player should feel that way -- every player should want more than MLS and should try to push themselves towards that goal.

Hopefully, MLS will improve to the point where we can compete on level terms with the second-tier European leagues, at least. But for now, absolutely.

i would say MLS is low table championship level with a handful mid-table.

That's probably accurate from a sporting perspective. It's tough to make comparisons, and Eurosnobs will have none of it, but I can go along with it.

I was talking about financial opportunities for players, though.
