I'm guessing you know, but others might not.
NYCFC last won a game by a 5-3 score in July 2015 against Orlando, in Pirlo's first appearance for the team. It was one of the few true highlights of that season when it was possible to believe that the club could go on a late season run. That game capped an 8-game streak where the club won 2.0 PPG, mostly without any of the reinforcements.

At the end of the game, Kaka lined up to take a free kick with Orlando down 4-3. The free kick bounced off the post, and the long rebound helped NYC launch a counter that ended with Mix Diskerud putting the game to bed.

I thought we had a 5-3 against Colorado and Tim Howard after that. Am I getting the sequence wrong or the score against Colorado wrong?

Related question, maybe I'm getting the team wrong. Was that 5-3 against Orlando on July 30? That's my wife's birthday and I vaguely remember the 5-3 happening on her birthday.

5-1 Colorado. First hat trick in club history thanks to Frank Lampard.

Yes, and to FootyLovin's other question: the Orlando game was July 26, the most auspicious and successful date in NYCFC lore.
5-0-0 all time, most recently in 2023. Sadly, no July 26 game this year. Last year July 26 was a Saturday and the club played on Friday. This year it's a Sunday and they play on Saturday. They need to figure this shit out.
