Hello - I wanted to hear the views of the Forums users whether they want the Matchday Chat Box back for the 2026 season. We went on a great playoff run without it and I personally enjoyed all the match posts within the match thread. This is the LionMOD listening tour. Please vote!

You can't change your vote, so think wisely. And I'm not letting the votes to be public.

I’m torn. I loved reading through the script of actual events after the game in the thread, but the flow of following along in real time is a pain where as the chat is smooth in real time, but I’d love to read through the comments after the fact.

Maybe we can test out... I think the chat might have a "convert to thread" option so maybe an option could be useful match day chat and then convert to "match thread" after?

I see from our plugin addon:

Added a new command called "export" that allows you to export messages from the current room to a thread with a post author and per post limit.

I’m not the tech best person for the forums. But if that works and available that would be great. No idea how to do it, but if you learn and can do it that would be amazing.

interesting.

So it doesn't do exactly as I thought it would do.
You specify a thread, the author, and then how many chats to put into that post, and it posts as that author (as you can see above).
So if we do think this is an interesting route, we could potentially move the chat to the matchday thread after a match within one post as like a chat "archive"
🤔

Another thing is i can also take that thread data and stick it into a spoiler after the export so it doesn't take up an entire page. And we can probably also set up a dummy user called like "matchbot" and have all the posts under mr. matchbot so people can look back at the post history for threads. Just some thoughts

Give me your thoughts everyone!

I like it, you can reference it without having to scroll through a bunch of messages after a game

One post for the entire chat, I like it! Also your spoilier idea is a good one!

I say we do a dry run for the first game against LAG
I'd also like to test its limits. Does it have a text limit? Do threads have a limit that they would allow? (if so we might have to do multiple archive posts but that's honestly fine)
