Mls Cup

Scouse, what three historical figures, living or dead, would you like to have dinner with and why?
Lincoln- because he was more of a leader thana politic and his logic of problem solving is intresting.

King Harold of Angland- because he took the throne away from William the Bastard (which is just being a dick)

St George- because he had the balls to be an open christain in the Roman army and he got was martyrd because of it (before dont ask dont tell was introduced)

He took the throne from william when charles the second died. Then william came from normandy to retakevthe throne

Umm...where to start with this one...

Harold took the throne by election of the Witangamot at the death of Edward the Confessor. This was the established method for succession to the throne. William then invaded on the pretext that Edward had promised to name him heir to the throne by secret convention, even though as stated any king could only be raised to the throne by the convocation of the nobles at the Witangamot, and William clearly had not achieved this.

Charles II lived in the 17th century, 600 years after these events, and had no part to play in the Norman Conquest.

Anyway, this conversation really is going off-track now.
