Aside from New England’s thrashing of Miami, positive results in the East for all as everyone else drew. We’re still 7th in the East but with a game in hand on most teams. Another positive set of results this weekend and we can go up to 2nd.
It was a pretty fair yellowThat's Chanot first foul and it's a yellow card? Great work, Ted
If Johnson stops Nani's long range goal, and the rest of the season is the same, including all the other long range goals we conceded, and all the games where we score 1 goal, NYCFC would have 22 points, sitting in 4th place and 2nd in PPG. Orlando drops to a 6th place tie with Columbus. The mood among NYCFC fans is 100% different.Aside from New England’s thrashing of Miami, positive results in the East for all as everyone else drew. I cant believe I'm saying this, but Unkel had a good game today. Nothing controversial, nothing egregious, nothing that stood out to me as "damn that was a bad call"It was a pretty fair yellow

Very underrated performance from Taty tonight. Another great game of holdup and linking play, getting into dangerous spaces, and opening up space for others.
I thought he was one of our top players tonight.
Effin’ hilarious that the MTL player who took that shot way after the whistle hit the postyep, Unkel was pretty invisible which is exactly the way you want a ref to be. The few times I muttered to myself “that’s a yellow” - unkel pulled out the card. Good that he carded the MTL player who shot way after the whistle.
nice to have a game where LionNYC isn’t furious about a conspiracy theory with blown ref calls or furiously tweeting instant replay to PRO refs and the extra time crew.
I found that really funny too!Effin’ hilarious that the MTL player who took that shot way after the whistle hit the post
In hindsight that was very obvious and I have no idea how I didn't realize this. lolMy question answered:
Kind of the same for me, but in our defense the stat column should be DuelsW if that’s what it meansIn hindsight that was very obvious and I have no idea how I didn't realize this. lol
I would add that Medina was solid. Got in good positions all night, his corners were solid ( we should have scored on at least one) worked well in tight spots, and did not cough up the ball. For all our failure to score, our midfield and forwards very rarely cough up stupid turnovers that become counters. Maxi, Medina, Isi, Taty, And Gudi all play smart on the ball. Tinner, Barraaza, Chanot, and to a lesser degree Cacha were the main possession problems tonight. Tinner is just really off. Wonder what is up with that.Very underrated performance from Taty tonight. Gudi is smart on the ball, but my biggest pet peeve of his is he never makes quick decisions or take risks with the ball when in the final 3rd and he often misses runners as he instead just continues to hold the ball.I would add that Medina was solid. Good on Barrazza for the assist and the clean sheet as a confidence booster, but his distribution is often panicky and he didn’t really have much to stop tonight. MOTM was generous. Isi was the best guy on the field.

It seems like he waits for the perfect opportunity to send in a cross (which he has a fantastic crossing ability), but again, there are often other options that present themselves shortly after he gains possession, and he almost always doesn't pull the trigger. Perhaps he doesn't want to turn the ball over, and I get that to a degree, but the positions he is in when doing so, are often high enough up the pitch that turning it over there is ok.
