Suppose Messi will be on the Miami roster for this match but five days later plays with Argentina in Qatar
He played Wednesday last week against Nashville in CCL. He was not even on the bench last night for the 0-0 draw against Charlotte. Miami plays Nashville again Wednesday this week, and as noted, Messi has a game with Argentina midweek after the NYCFC game.

Miami was heavily rotated last night. Suarez played and he sat Wednesday. Defender Noah Allen was the only player to start both games. I have little idea whether their 1st choice lineup mostly played which game or if it was evenly split. No telling what we will see. A club should not need to rest a player so he's available for a high profile international friendly 5 days later but Messi sets his own rules.

Good news if Messi doesn’t play is that tickets weren’t priced crazily high or anything.

Oh wait scratch that, reverse it.

If Miami is prioritizing CCL Messi needs to play as the first leg finished 0-0.

Would be a shame if Messi didn’t play against NYCFC. Especially for those who sold their tickets for crazy high prices. Oh wait,

I think he's definitely playing CCL barring a knock. I'm less certain whether he plays against us. I would not bet on it but it's far from definite he sits.

Yeah I just read that apparently they presented a host of other options but the Argentina FA said no to all of them,

40,000 fans coming and the giveaway is for only the first 5,000. That's small-time stuff from the team. I'd expect better.
Because it's only purpose is to encourage early arrival and the more you give out the less it works.
