really curious if magno is just that far behind getting used to the way jansen wants to play or jansen simply doesn't think he's capable of doing what he wants as a starter.

Wow. Gustavo getting a slap on the wrist for the penalty that was not called? Thought he was pretty good otherwise. Maybe PJ thinks we have a better chance of ball rentention with Trewin.
Who comes off it get Magno on? Nico is by far our best player. Wolf and Ojeda both played very well against Philly. That leaves Maxi? Benching a club legend that I'm sure still sees himself as a starter for the home opener would be rough. Benching Maxi also means Magno would have to play striker and its pretty well established that Magno is a terrible striker.
you take maxi off. club legend or not, home opener or not. we should not be relying on him.
I agree, but I don't think Pascal sees it.
he doesn't see it because with the current roster, maxi is in his best xi to get the win. if we sign a DP striker this window, maxi will fall to the bench, i think.
Have they previously used NYCFC branded cups at Yankee Stadium?

they've had NYCFC cups for as long as i remember. I have a collection of them I use for various things instead of trashing them.
This will change as the season goes on. I have to believe at some point his role gets usurped. Certainly his 2 assists today make a case to keep him in the XI for now.
Yup. I have one on my desk as a pen holder. I think it is from our inaugural season. Have to go check.
That was fun. We should do that more often.

Really cranky about the traín situation today. Never made it to the stadium and they ring up 5 and a clean sheet. I’ve now missed all but two of our home openers but this is the first one of those that I was in town for.
Ojeda was my MOTM last week. This week Parks and Nico and Maxi were also all contenders. Also thought Carrizo showed very well today.
And it was nice to see them being killer Pigeons. So often we don’t keep the boot on the neck.
Just really bummed I couldn’t get there. Though it was great to have Ian on the mic.
