I thought I'd put this one up early because there's a lot to discuss. After this week's Sunday, Toronto and NYCFC will both have played 27. Montreal, and Philadelphia will have one game in hand. There's still a lot of soccer to be played but this is a critical week for playoff positioning.

It's going to be one hell of a week for MLS Fantasy with all the DGW. [Apparently it's split into two rounds]

TUESDAY
SKC-VAN (CCL)

WEDNESDAY
ORL-TOR
CLB-PHI
MTL-DC
CHI-LA
HOU-SEA
Real Esteli-DAL (CCL)
SJ-NE

FRIDAY
RSL-COL

SATURDAY
DC-CHI
PHI-SKC
CLB-SJ
TOR-MTL
HOU-DAL
LA-VAN

SUNDAY
RB-NE
POR-SEA
ORL-NYC

Orlando can do us a Solid on Wednesday and we can repay them Sunday by reminding them not to let their heads swell too much by beating them in their own back yard.

MTL/Tor is also going to be a nice tilt.

Fantasy split it up into two rounds, which is arguably tougher to deal with as 8 teams don't play in the mid-week round.

On the more important IRL issues, Ulrich identified the 2 games I care about most. Toronto gets caught up on games played and could conceivably lose 2. I'm happy with them getting 0-2 points, and borderline accepting of 3. Anything above that is a solid week for them. After this week they have 2 more Away games and 5 at home.

Two points for Toronto, throw in a New England upset in Harrison and that's a great week.

I fully expect Kreis & Orlando to play a very physical game vs Toronto by kicking Giovinco's shins every chance they get - as much as I despise Kreis, he was the one that really perfected playing Toronto last year and had RJ mug the little Italian any time the ball came within 10yrds of him.

I also think Montreal will play Toronto either to a Tie or beat them. It's personal for them as an all-Canadian match and Drogba is the one guy that the Toronto CBs can't physically bully.

Really believe Toronto is only going to get 1pt from the matches.

RB Leipzig Lite will be even on games as they are playing DCU today.

Midweek MLS action starting tonight. I think the perfect NYCFC outcome would be:

Orlando def. Toronto
Columbus def. Philadelphia
DC def. Montreal

Sitting in the Orlando City supporters section pulling for this result tonight. This is one of the best places to watch a game though midweek crowd will probably be a bit light.

Weather is muggy, but not that hot and pretty breezy. Much more moderate than SKC was, for example, which hopefully bodes well for our aged midfield on Sunday assuming this persists (and even though we should be more rested than them).

Yes, please. And while less important, I wouldn't mind if Chicago beat the Galaxy.

Finally, how the hell is Colorado sitting on only 24 GP to date not playing this midweek? They don't make up either of their two games in hand until October.

Are you wearing purple?

Toronto up 1-0 in the 7' off a goal from someone besides Giovinco. If Toronto is going to win this, I'd rather get fantasy points in the process.

I never quite understand the uneven scheduling of these games and I don't think I'll ever will and I'm fine with that.

But just hoping Toronto loses so I can see NYCFC is still on top.

Kreis is wearing a pink polo shirt on the sidelines for tonight's match. Lol.

Nah, neutral colors.

Goal was a good finish, but bad goal to give up.
Orlando running nearly everything through Kaka starting on the left touch line and cutting in. He's not getting any real fullback support and is trying to do a ton.

So you're saying that tactically Kreis is over-achieving :)

Larin ties it up 1-1.

I'm watching on MLS Live and it's the TSN (Toronto) broadcast. The announcers are semi-happy the Canadian international scored. Oh, we're tied 1-1 but hey, a Canadian did it, eh.

Fucking Jozy, Toronto up 2-1

Larin hits the post in the 92'

Toronto win 2-1. NYCFC and Toronto are now level on games. They have 43 points, we have 41.

We still have the opportunity to stay in first place after this week if we win and they lose.

Yeah, Solignac with one of the worst howlers you will ever see. Goalie way out of the box, one defender on the line, and he can't put it on frame from 10 yards out. Pathetic.

Lots of teams resting their players tonight. Killing my fantasy.

I just saw a replay on Facebook and from the angle they showed, it sure looked like Altidore was offside of the play.

I really don't get pissed off by plays like this, because in the end they always seem to even out <cough> Villa, Galaxy<cough>. I just bring it up, because being the thin skinned whiner I am, I just wonder if the angst is going to be prevalent on the 'net over this game winner like there was this past week. ;)
