MLS Week 25

Houston finally puts one in against Seattle and is up a goal late.

The Sounders left a lot of their starters at home or had them coming in off the bench. Clearly Seattle prioritizing the weekend rematch with Portland. Makes sense - not only a rival, but the team they are chasing at the playoff line.

Lodiero ties it at the death. Actually came well after the 3 minutes of stoppage time because of an injury to Bruin that took at least a minute to clear up. Seattle had a lot of chances at the end, so perhaps not completely unfair.

Seattle's gamble pays off, as they get a road point while resting some key guys ahead of the Cascadia Cup match against Portland on Sunday. The Sounders are now one point behind Portland with a game in hand.
