MLS Week 29 - 2019

i meant in general, not just the US. not that this is an indication that it is going to be a recurring incident in the league, but it's just sad that there are incidents to begin with.

can't we all just get along?!

in many parts of the world...it never left.

as for here i know stuff went down when dc came around last year but i didnt know there was stuff with other teams outside of regional teams ( RB, philly, nyc) and based on replies to the threads there have been quite a bit of incidents. interesting, again i only see nyc related ones since they blast those every where in twitter /reddit

are they technically correct though? i mean any away game i been to it really just stops at like half block out of stadium and thats it or even less just at exit of stadium. only in philly game a few years back they kept us like 45 mins instead of 20 since stuff went down during the game. then they left us in parking lot a few feet away
Would think it extends to the edge of the property, so if a connected parking lot, that’s part of it.

lots of replies kept mentioning that cops are supposed to take over once the stadium security ends. i dont think any cops have done this for any MLS team away fans. i notice lots more cops at YS for RB games but not them escorting the RB fans to and from stadium.

There is some information there but not as much as last night. The Seattle fan who Boehm is working off has since protected his tweets. I read them last night and the guy was infuriated and a bit over the top, though perhaps understandably so. When DCU responded to him by saying they would look into it and asked for more info he basically told them to sod off. What I remember him alleging is that DCU security abandoned the Seattle supporters at the gate, and they were almost immediately set upon by by some DC supporters, that security saw this and didn't care or respond. They might have even said it's not their job once people leave the premises.
So it is fairly similar to the account of the Orlando attack. The main difference being I think the Orlando attack came further away from the stadium and security had even escorted the NYC contingent some blocks from the stadium before leaving them on their own, and all was quiet at that time.

This crap is so stupid. We're really fighting someone because they root for a different sports team? Grow up.

EDIT: That's a colloquial "we."

It only takes a few idiots. We've got em, Jersey's got em, Philly sure has them and Orlando has a stadium full of them. Not much you can do but shame the idiots and improve security.

You're right. Every fanbase has them in every sport. It's beyond ridiculous and needs to stop.
