MLS Week 7

COL vs RB playing is a snow storm... Field is slush and ice,,, and COL winning 1-0!!!

Sigi on crutches and the Sounders (Sigi and the Sounders, sounds like a band name from the 70s) beat the Union 2-1. JoMo, J Smooth, Morrisimo, Air Jordan, Jordanihno, Bobby Woods' Step Brother, One of the Saviors of US Soccer scores his first MLS goal.

Orlando 1-1 at the 90 minute mark. Orlando goes up 2-1 at 90+2, and a bit of good fortune for New England and the rest of the East when a PK let's the Revs tie it 2-2 at 90+6.

Anybody else catch the end of the Orlando -- New England match? What a farce.

Tied 1-1 in extra time the officials miss a hand ball by Molino, who controls it in the box and gives OC the lead.

When play resumes, New England goes on the attack and are awarded a PK on a phantom hand ball in the area by OC. Nguyen ties it at 2 with the PK.

Walking off the field the coaches almost go at it.

Crazy end to the Orlando/Revs game. Go-ahead goal for Orlando thanks to a hand ball that wasn't called right at the end of the game, then Revs getting a hand-ball-that-wasn't called for a penalty kick in stoppage time. Should've been a 1-1 tie, but ended in a 2-2 tie (perhaps fairly, although everyone was furious).

Well, looks like at least three people watched that match.
At least hearing about awful reffing in other games makes me feel a little bit better.... I'm still pissed about last night, but glad other fans aren't relaxed right now.

That had to be a makeup call to give NE the penalty at the very end, no? Probably a fair result in the end, I guess. I must have watched way too much soccer in my life to actually not be fussed by that last ten minutes just because you see stuff like that all the time.

Well, it was just that it was exceptionally ugly, to the point of fans throwing objects on the field and players and coaches almost fighting. It was a bit crazy. Not really the usual blown-call-then-make-up-call situation.

My sense was the Ref called the handball but initially said it was outside the box, which would not really be much of a make-up. Then he consulted with the assistant and switched it to inside. I don't think make-up calls get manufactured that way.

Okay. Then it was just a terrible call because the Carrasco was at least a foot inside the box!
