I found this forum about a week ago and decided to join in. I just started getting in to soccer little by little about two years ago watching Premier League games on NBC. In July I finally decided to buy season tickets, and I am very glad I did. The home opener was my first MLS game, and the atmosphere was great. I have been a huge baseball fan my whole life, and am a Mets season ticket holder, but last Sundays game was a whole different experience. There are still people I know who ask why I would watch a dull sport like soccer, but being there last Sunday I really fell in love with the game. I hope we have a great season, and I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Welcome, also a relative soccer newbie, the home opener was also my first live game, and also from Queens.

Soccer a dull sport? Have they watched Baseball??

Baseball will always be my favorite sport, I could be content watching a High School team play, and I am actually training to be an umpire. That's just some peoples opinion, I couldn't be paid to watch a hockey game. My point was baseball is the only sport I would ever pay for till I started watching soccer.
