The NY Post have been attacking Reverend Al Sharpton all week mostly on their front page. Who else ranks high on that publications hate list and why? Not essentially just individual journalists (Phil Mushnick comes to mind lets hope NYCFC are never prominently featured in his columns) but the front page/editorials. Its certainly not a paper that's afraid to sharpen the knife and hold back at all.

I don't know about hate list, but if the Post can find an excuse to print scantily clad women on the front page, they will take it. The only redeeming quality of that paper is their sports coverage.

Actually, Mushnick is a huge soccer fan.

Well that's besides the point. He's not a columnist who's going to write a nice, fluffy puff piece and he looks into stuff many mainstream journalists don't. If NYCFC are ever featured primarily in his columns it will be because a player, executive, etc has pissed him off somehow. Still he's attacked WWE and Vince McMahon enough times and that company is in great shape.

The Post is a tabloid rag on par with the Daily Mail.

As for things on the Post's hate list: Dems, libs, feminists,"thugs," the teacher's union, innocent bystanders at the Boston Marathon bombing who happen to be of Saudi descent, people on state assistance, college professors, and all immigrants. They're down with cops, firefighters, and sanitation workers though. Middle class white dudes from southern Staten Island are their bread and butter. Plenty of them dislike the Post though.

Their sports section is one of the last vestiges of the paper's grittier, muchkraking, more hardboiled past. There is some good stuff there. Though if you truly want to go insane, read some Andrea Peyser. That lady is nuts.

The real problem is most NY papers have very strong slant, in either direction. Makes it hard to read. I stick to the WSJ.
