Anybody watching the final of the Canadian Premier League on FS2?
The final between Ottawa and Cavalry is going into extra time, but the match is being held up because of snow.

St. Pauli just jumped to a 1-0 lead against Bayern just 6' in. Our Guy from Rye wasn't directly involved, but I'm taking it as a good omen.

Hate to spoil good vibes but…

Our guy jogged back on the first one and left two guys wide open at the six. He may not have caught them but he was ball watching rather than busting back.

And he lost his mark on the winner.

I watched this match only because of him and was sorely disappointed. He was at best a passenger.
Granted it was Bayern and the competition was top notch but he didn’t do himself any favors.

Taking it as a good omen that we have Aiden back…

I missed the leveler (busy today), but I saw the winner. He definitely lost his mark. I don't know if it was a lapse in concentration or he just got outplayed, but either way, it was a big mistake.

Truth be told, he's been inconsistent in the Bundesliga. When he's good, he can be very good. Bayern was just too dominant today.

Full credit to St. Pauli for hanging in there until the end, though. They damn near took the lead at the death before succumbing.

Saw this old thread and couldn’t resist adding: did you catch any other matches while in Senegal? I’ve heard some of the lower-division games there can get surprisingly intense, especially near the coast. If anyone else has been to smaller leagues during their travels, I’d love to hear what the atmosphere was like and whether ticket prices varied much for tourists.

No, that was it.
