I do. My daughter, now 22, was a massive Pokemon fan when she was a kid. We spent years watching it together, playing the Nintendo DS games, buying the posters, making the Halloween costumes, etc.
Just kidding NYCFC_Dan !!! Funny thing.... A few days ago I was driving around Albany and saw a group of about 7-8 college aged kids standing on the corner staring at their phones. I was like "WTF??" Fast forward to yesterday and I was in Duluth MN on business as as I pull into the brewpub for dinner I see the same thing!! Standing in a parking lot totally looking out of place. Then WHAM it hits me!! PokemonGO!!!
I loved Pokemon as a kid, my brother and I played all the time and I was always leaf even though I wanted to be fire because he was always water so I became a leaf person. I really think the game looks like fun but I can't download it cause I'm already addicted to this forum. Doing this forum and Facebook was too much of a time drain to the point that I deleted Facebook. #dedication #priorities

I downloaded it to my phone so my 4 year old can play it. She's pretty good and flicking those balls at the Pokemon to catch them. I'm glad she doesn't care about any other forms of play, because I'm too damn old to know what to do with those things and also too damn old to care. I'm just glad we caught squirtle because she really likes that one.

i grew up with pokemon as a kid so I downloaded it for shits and giggles, its a great concept for a game, but really shallow in execution. I open it up occasionally and see whats around but for the most part I don't walk around hunting. I'm about a month away from getting a dog, so I think ill play it more on my walks. TBD.
It looks like fun. I played one game from each generation through Black & White pretty much. Haven't downloaded this one though.
I'm currently in Hong Kong and Pokeman Go was recently released here. I've caught a couple by chance - wasn't actively looking for any of them. It'll be interesting to see what pops up when I'm in Tokyo next week.
How do you not actively look for them? Don't you have to hold your phone in front of your face as you walk around crowded streets?
No it vibrates when one appears on the game and you just catch it. People that use the virtual view are just newbs
Dan, you have to leave the game open right? When I close it it doesn't vibrate
Yeah you have to leave it open but anything in the area will pop up. The people with their phone up in the air are just ignorant. And using the camera mode makes it even more difficult. Much easier to catch if that's turned off as you don't have to have the phone pointed in the specific direction.
