Stadium Discussion

So the minimum get in price for lower bowl sideline seats is $6k for a pair of tickets. Yikes. And that basically comes with no added extras.

Upper bowl sideline it is then.
Yup. I spent years knowing I was in the first 400 STHs. Then a few years ago my rep told me I was in the first 100. I've spent all this time contemplating would I rather have front row in the lower bowl or front row in the upper bowl? Better view of the whole match or ability to practically reach out and touch the players? Turns out I'm priced out of both. Still wondering how many rows deep their variable pricing will go in the upper bowl.

Has there been any indication or rumor how much the least expensive non-supporter section ticket will be?

I still harbor a dream that “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” becomes our “You’ll Never Walk Alone” or “I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles.”
Everyone already knows it and I would love to troll the rest of MLS with it. And when we no longer play in baseball fields, it would be a nod to our legacy.

I do want to have the benches be dugouts or have mini foul poles as the corner flags somehow
If our ownership or management had any ties to New York or even gave a shit about NY as something other than a field in which to plant a generic "City" brand, maybe we'd get that.

So by year 5 when the new stadium vibe goes away (& the guaranteed contract expires I believe) the lower bowl might be sparsely filled. Interesting decision by the team

FWIW when the Yankees opened the current stadium they slashed club prices in half very quickly after realizing they were overpriced.
I don't think (most) accounts in the premium sections will keep to the full five years. They'll realize that these games are primarily on the weekends, they won't be able to expense them since clients aren't coming on the weekends and this isn't the NFL. And what the front office is going to sue their fans?

I asked the guy (Derek?) about that when we went to pick our seats. Mentioned to him I had tickets in left field when Citi Field opened in 2009 and they still cost less today then they did that first year. While it obviously doesn't say it in the contract he agreed the team would probably have to lower the prices, regardless of what your contract says, if they started lowering the price for new members/single game tickets. That's why we did the seven year contract, so our price will at worst be flat the first three years when demand is most likely to be strongest.

Seems pretty clear that there is no reason to buy the short term package. The 8 year deal gives you three years without an increase and the lowest increase. You run the risk of values going down but the club will have bigger issues then. Who is signing up for three years at seven percent.

Also seems pretty clear that in the east sideline if you aren’t buying the cheapest seats you might as well go for the cheap west if you are going to eat and park at the stadium. Food and parking is easily worth 100 bucks a ticket. The ROFR on non city events should allow you to make back some money.

I hope the GA seats at the penalty spot next the east club are a good value and reward early members! I’m guessing 125?

We thought the same thing when we were deciding what seats to get. The lowest price seats on the west side are not bad, we're at the 18 yard line. If you plan on parking and eating at the game anyway I would say its worth it. Parking is already like $50? Who knows what it will be by the time the stadium opens never mind in 2030. And its supposed to be 'VIP' parking, so I'm hoping its one of the lots right on Sever Way. The example menus we saw also seemed like the food was going to be a good upgrade, at least over the champions club. Only downside is we're not alcoholics 🤣
